One of my favorite things about staying in Pine is that you really don’t have to go far to have a great getaway. There are so many little shops, restaurants and hidden gems tucked into Pine and Strawberry that you can easily spend the day exploring.
We started our morning right here at Pine Trail Cabin, coffee on the deck with a view. ☕️🌲 There’s just something about waking up in the mountains, sitting outside with your coffee and enjoying the quiet before heading out for the day.
We started our day shopping along the main road in Pine. Fancy Finds had some amazing inventory, and my guest came home with beautiful handmade jewelry and a brand-new pair of Fifth Avenue sunglasses. You never know what little treasures you’re going to find!
From there, we headed down to Old Settlers Village and walked through all the shops. There are so many unique things to look at, and the weather was absolutely beautiful for walking around and enjoying the day.
We then took the back roads over to Auntie Gail’s Collectibles. If you love antiques and unique finds, this is definitely a place you’ll want to check out. More treasures and definitely worth the stop!
By lunchtime, we were ready to eat, so we headed to Bandits in Strawberry. The menu was amazing, and we enjoyed some adult beverages along with their loaded tater tots and cheese curds. Both are a must!
And because one stop for food is never enough… 😂
After Bandits, we stopped at Pie Bar for some delicious empanadas. Let me just say, DON’T SKIP THIS STOP! They were so good and the perfect little treat while continuing our day of exploring.
That evening, we discovered another hidden gem, The Strawberry Lodge. A very nice employee at one of the local shops recommended it to us, and I’m so glad they did!
One thing to know: The Strawberry Lodge is reservation only, so make sure you call ahead and make your reservation.
The minute we walked in, we loved the intimate and classy atmosphere. The tables were beautifully decorated, the wine room was amazing, and the whole place just had a really special feel.
We each tried the sangria, and it was SO good. For dinner we had the salmon with penne and the Pollo Limone. Everything was delicious, honestly, it felt like a little taste of Italy right here in the mountains.
And then came dessert… Tiramisu. ❤️
Trust me when I say, make a reservation and try it for yourself!
The next morning, before heading home, we made one last stop at Bandits for breakfast. We tried their $10 Scrambler Bowl one with bacon, one with sausage, and one with ham. They were all delicious and the portions were generous enough to keep us full for the ride home.
A pretty perfect way to end our little getaway.
